Our guide, Kyle, who spoke excellent English, met us promptly at the entrance to Hiep Phuoc cruise port, just as we had arranged. From there, we embarked on an adventure that exceeded our expectations.

The journey began with an over-hour-long car ride to the Cu Chi Tunnels in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City). Kyle made the time fly by, providing us with a rich history of the area and continuously pointing out notable landmarks along the way. His engaging narrative brought the region’s past and present to life, making our visit to the tunnels even more impactful.

Bao was an amazing tour guide for our excursion from the Puy My port (Saigon). He and his crew transported us via luxury coach thru the Vietnam countyside on ferries, speed boats and paddle boats to feed crocs, walk thru mangroves, visit food markets, tour Saigon, eat the best pho and much more. A trip to remember made possible by Boa's passion, attention to detail and great sense of humor!

We just returned from an unforgettable 14-day journey through Vietnam, and we owe so much of the experience to our incredible private guide, Loc. Traveling with three generations—my 76 year old mom, myself (46), my husband, and two daughters (10 and 21 yr old) can be a challenge, but Loc made it seamless, meaningful, and absolutely unforgettable.

From the moment we connected, Loc went above and beyond to plan, coordinate, and personalize every detail of our trip. He took time to understand the purpose of our trip, which was to bring my mom home to Vietnam for the first time in 52 years. With no family or friends left, she wanted to remember and share with two other generations what times were like living in Vietnam during a war. Loc created an itinerary that not only showcased Vietnam’s beauty and culture but also brought us closer to our ancestral roots in a truly emotional and memorable way. His patience and compassion for “mẹ hải” made a lasting impression not only on me for the genuine love, loyalty and joy so many Vietnamese have for family but for the personal connection he made with my mom during our time. Reminiscing over old traditions, speaking the native language, and catering to her memories! Loc, you will forever hold a special place in our hearts!

Every city—from Saigon to Hanoi, Hoi An to Hue, Nha Trang to Da Nang and beyond—was thoughtfully curated. Loc balanced history, food (lots and lots of food), beaches, and cultural moments so that each generation felt engaged, inspired, and connected. His local knowledge, warm personality, and deep respect for our heritage made this more than just a vacation—it was a journey of the heart.

Whether it was finding the best street food (just 10 minutes away, lol) organizing boat rides in the Me Kong Delta or the cruise in Ha Long Bay, or foodie trips on mopeds or quietly translating a conversation with a local elder couple in a village making straw mats with my daughters, or taking low quality rice to make “happy water”, Loc handled it all with professionalism, care, and heart.
